Everyday when I check the internet the first story on my phone is about the corona virus.The world has a big health problem now. However, when I woke up this morning, the sun was shining so brightly I felt happy to be alive and healthy. For a few minutes, I could forget about the corona virus.
Doctors around the world cannot understand everything about this virus. However, the doctors all agree that it is important to wash our hands frequently. This reduces the chance of keeping germs on our bodies. Also, it is important to avoid touching our faces because the eyes can quickly catch germs. Apart from that, doctors recommend using a mask if you are using public transport systems like buses and trains.
In my opinion, we can also do other things to keep our body healthy. I think having a healthy body starts if we also have a healthy mind and heart. I decided to follow the doctor’s advice about washing hands and other advices, but I have added my own methods to stay healthy everyday.
For example, I try not to overthink or over-worry about the corona virus. Life is short so we should not waste time worrying about things we can’t completely control. We can only do our best to protect ourselves and other people. After that, we have to continue living our best life. Let’s continue finding joy in simple things. A good joke, a beautiful flower or tree, a walk in the park, a good bowl of ramen can boost our body’s immune system. There is a lot of healing from nature and having good relationships with other people.
What is my best life? For me my best life starts from having a positive mind and attitude. Even in the most difficult time I want to find good points to keep me motivated . If I can laugh with a friend or co-worker, enjoy natures’ beauty and eat some delicious food and get enough sleep, THIS is my best life. When our mind and heart are receiving positive vibes and energy, our body gets stronger! It is useless to wash our hands, wear masks, gurgle and then spend the whole day feeling negative and over worrying about something.
I hope the corona virus ends soon and we can go back to our normal lives and routines. The corona virus has changed a big part of our lives but this is the time for us to fight for our positive spirit to stay alive In the meantime let’s continue taking care of both our body and mind. So let’s wash our hands, wear masks, gurgle everyday, avoid meeting in large groups and let’s live our best lives. A healthy mind is a healthy body!
